With !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! of GT3 cars in Pirelli World Challenge racing, my Mind Palace was invaded with the question...what current production car should get the GT3 treatment which isn't currently in the mix?

I would love to see my car adapted to this sort of competition.

Brz and 370z are the immediate ones that pop into my head.

Once they make the Jaguar F-Type coupé, that.

BMW i8.
The Z4 is ridiculous. All the cars on the grid are proper sportscars: SLS, 458, 911 GT3, MP4, Vantage V8. And then there is the housewife's roadster.
BMW should just take the 4.4L V8 of the GT3 Z4 and drop it mid-engine in the i8. Add a widebodykit and some race gear and we have a new M1.

Lamborghini Sesto Elemento. It could be matte black at a night race, it'd still be the most incredible looking car on the grid.

Ford should build the GT again so it can go racing.
I can't think of a sports car that isn't already a GT3. Maybe homologate the CTS-V as a full GT3?

Agreed. I'd be interested in seeing this and the Audi R8 GT3 side by side.

There are few that haven't been looked into for GT3, mostly because as customer cars they need to have a potential audience of teams that want to run in them. With the bridging of PWC and the FIA regs, I could actually see Cadillac looking into the CTS-V Coupe or the pending ATS Coupe as a possibly option to cross the pond (assuming that they still have an interest in establish credit in the Euro market with the current down turn in sales).

Assuming Fiat doesn't have a problem with the Alfa going toe-to-toe with the 458s, this is an absolute possibility.

With the fact that the Super GT has the BRZ in the GT300 class, I doubt Toyobaru wouldn't have an issue with say the 86 competing in a different GT series.

As long as the livery isn't sponsored by the Qatari Royal Family, it would be a great option for the end of the current Gallardo program.

Don't forget that the GT300 BRZ is built on a spec tub, and many of the cars in the class are also GT3 cars.

Yea, I believe there are even Prii in that class. My point was more of from a marketing perspective of would they see value in having that car in the mix.
In Japan, yes; Europe, maybe. Depends on if they feel that there is a benefit to the 86 platform being run.
